Zoning Hearing Board
The purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to help assure fair and equitable application and administration of the Zoning Ordinance by hearing appeals of the Zoning Officer's decisions and by granting relief from the literal enforcement of the ordinance in certain hardship situations.
The Board schedules hearings on applications and appeals, hears evidence, and issues written decisions or findings of fact. Its hearings are public and formal with testimony being taken under oath and all proceedings recorded by a court stenographer.
The Zoning Hearing Board is comprised of three members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
Meetings
The Zoning Hearing Board meets on an as-needed basis at the Municipal Building.

Zoning, Subdivision & Land Development
The Township has an ordinance regulating the subdivision of land, and development of lots for all purposes. Plans for all are subject to review by the Planning Commission and approval by the Board of Supervisors.
Pennsylvania State Law mandates these reviews, and all approved plans are required to be recorded with the Monroe County Recorder of Deeds. A hard-copy of the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) and Zoning Ordinance may be reviewed and/or purchased at the Township Municipal Building.
